Hey Everybody, I encourage you – as strongly as I can – to make sure to be with us the next three weeks. Our “Relationslips” series has created more interest than any series in a long time. So, here’s what we’re going to do over the next three weeks. This weekend, we’ll look at ways to avoid conflict. Next week, we’ll talk about how to forgive – even when someone doesn’t ask for it. And on April 17, we’ll hear the basic key to giving and receiving grace. You won’t want to miss a single week.
Easter falls on April 24 this year. We will have Easter services on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday at our normal times. I’ll begin a new series on Easter Sunday called “Time To Grow.” The series will look at the kind of people God wants us to be and how He wants us to be involved with Him in transforming our lives. This will be a great day to invite your friends and family. We’ll have a lot of fun, be inspired and watch as several people “go public for Jesus” as they are baptized. If you’ve not yet been baptized after you became a Follower of Jesus, there is no better time than Easter. Just call Angel at 273-6425, ext. 400 and sign up for one of our baptism classes.
I hope you’re planning to join us for “Fish Eyes” THIS SATURDAY, April 2. Please consider inviting your friends to this quality theater event as we see Jesus through the eyes of two of His disciples. You’ll have a great time and learn about Jesus as well. This opportunity was created just for you to invite your friends to experience our church.
Praying the Jabez Challenge with you,
Pastor Ron

This Week at Twin Cities - March 24, 2011
Hey gang, Victory Night was AMAZING! I know many of you missed this great experience. Even with the rain and snow, 500+ people showed up to celebrate all God did in our church and through our church in 2010. Unfortunately, we were not able to record Sunday night so you’ll have to wait for our next one to get in on the experience.
Sunday evening followed an equally amazing Sunday morning service. I was so moved by the creative experience our Celebration Arts Team put together for us on Sunday. The music we sang and the mood that was established really set us up for the feature song and dance that was part of our talk on anger. These elements allowed us to see the truth that we all struggle with uncontrolled anger at times and opened up our hearts to hear the truth from God’s word.
This Sunday we’re going to focus on the upside of conflict. I’ll talk about establishing a conflict covenant and how we can work toward peace after our “Relationslips.” We’ll highlight four agreements that will help move a conflict from anger, frustration or hurt to peace and reconciliation. We’ll also get a chance to focus on a new ministry team whose sole purpose is to help people resolve conflict in a way that honors God using biblical principles.
I want to draw your attention to “Fish Eyes” on April 2. Please consider inviting your friends to this quality theater event as we see Jesus through the eyes of two of His disciples. You’ll have a great time and learn about Jesus as well. This is a great opportunity created just for you to invite your friends to experience our church.

This Week at Twin Cities - March 17, 2011
Hey everybody, I want to invite you to Victory Night this Sunday at 6:00 p.m. We’ll have our normal morning services and then gather together that night to celebrate God’s work in and through us during 2010. I think you’ll be amazed when you hear from different ministries how God has impacted us and our community. We’ll have great singing, choir, stories of celebration and a potluck dessert bar. Make sure to bring a favorite dessert you want to share with others. I can’t wait.
I’ve had many comments from folks about the impact of our “Relationslips” series. Folks have told me that these messages are just what they needed. I’ve heard this several times: “This is good and hard. We need it.” I would agree with that statement. Relationships are difficult, but it’s even more difficult to put the harmony back in after a relationslip. If you want, you can watch or listen to the past two messages online. You won’t be disappointed that you did.
This Sunday, we’re talking about one of the things that damages relationships in a huge way. We’ll focus on unrestrained anger and how anger hurts others. We’ll learn about how anger alienates us from others. We’ll learn how to control or get a grip on our anger issues. I hope you’ll be there. In fact, people are telling me that they wouldn’t miss this Sunday because they need help in this area. You’ll be mad at yourself if you miss!
I hope you’re still praying the Jabez Challenge. Remember to ask God, “Show me, use me, fill me and guard me.” Make sure to pass on your stories of how God is using this prayer in your life.
Praying with you,
Pastor Ron

This Week at Twin Cities - March 10, 2011: Spring Forward!
Hey everybody, Friend Day was pretty exciting on Sunday. I am so grateful to you as a church. The “Radical” series ended with a strong re-emphasis on our vision to passionately lead people into a life-transforming relationship with Jesus. That means we exist to creatively and consistently connect people who aren’t yet connected to God and His church. You took that challenge, and we had a huge surge in people who were here to check us out on Sunday – even though it was a rainy day.
If you missed Sunday, you’ll want to watch it online because what I shared was key to the whole series. Sure, each week stands alone, but Sunday set it all up. At the end of the services, I asked people to make a commitment with me to be here in a service each week of the series. I’m praying that we keep that commitment because the stakes are pretty high in a series like this.
Jesus said, “They will know you are My disciples by your love.” It could be said, “They will know you are NOT My disciples by your unresolved conflict and disunity.” It’s important that we live in such a way that people are drawn to Jesus because of us. Sadly, the opposite is most often the case. So, I want to say again, “This series is critical to our fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) in our lives.”
Victory Night is March 20 at 6pm. We’ll have our normal morning services and then gather together that night to celebrate God’s work in and through us during 2010. I think you’ll be amazed when you hear from different ministries how God has impacted us and our community. We’ll have great singing, stories and a potluck dessert bar. I can’t wait.
This week we’ll talk about the upside of conflict, how conflict happens and how to begin the process of making peace.

This Week at Twin Cities - March 3, 2011
Hey everybody, last Sunday was amazing with the beautiful (yet frustrating) snow and power outages (mine came on Sunday afternoon). I am so thankful for our team who made sure the parking lot was clear so that we were ready to meet with God. I was somewhat disappointed in how many people were still snowed in or power stranded which impacted our attendance greatly. If you weren’t here, though, you missed me improvising and speaking while walking around the room. As I keep saying, you never know what you’ll miss if you’re not here.
A highlight from last weekend was how many of you chose to give even though you couldn't be here. Our online giving was used by more people last weekend than any weekend since we began using it. You might try this handy tool for giving – especially those times when you just can’t get here.
Another bright spot was the passion we felt about Friend Day and engaging in God’s eternal purposes together. Folks, there are people in your world who are just a breath away from a Christ-less eternity. You have been placed in your world to be an Ambassador – a representative of the God most high – to share His love. A great way to do that is to invite your friends to our quality, friendly, inspiring Sunday service. Make sure to pray and ask God, “Who do you want me to invite this week?”
I begin a new series called, “Relationslips: Restoring Harmony to Relationships.” I can’t think of any greater need we have than to know how to resolve and work through inevitable conflict and pain. We’ll devote our Sundays all the way to Easter talking about how to fight for unity in relationships and how to make repairs to damaged ones.
