This Week @ Twin Cities Church - The Reality of Grace

Hey Friends and Family of TCC,

One of our office volunteers just stopped by to reflect on our Sunday services a moment. She was moved by the clear statement and explanation of our mission – to lead as many people as possible into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ – and our strategy of creating irresistible environments and inspiring opportunities to help people connect and grow to be like Jesus.

Then she said glowingly, “Sunday evening was amazing!” I responded by saying, “It sure was fun!” She said, “It was more than fun. It was such a clarifying evening for me. I had no idea how God was using us in so many ways right here in my community. I am thrilled to be part of a church with such a strong community focus.”

I mention this conversation because I’ve received many Facebook comments, emails and personal touches from others as well commenting on how much this helped them understand why we do what we do. So, if you weren’t here, please carve out some time to watch both services from Sunday – including the music. It’s pretty mind-boggling how God’s Holy Spirit leads our Celebration Arts Team to be so aligned with what the rest of the service is about.

This week we’re going to focus on the concept of God’s grace as made possible through the Good News, or Gospel Message, of Jesus Christ. I believe it’s so important for us to understand and embrace more than just the fact that Jesus Christ offers us life in all its fullness. The most important aspect of our faith as Followers of Jesus is the fact that we are forgiven and made clean by the death of Jesus on the cross. Jesus died and was raised from the dead for us.

This week is also our 3rd Sunday food drive. Please bring your non-perishable food items to help stock the shelves of Interfaith Food Ministry. We’ll also be receiving our quarterly benevolence offering as we leave our services. So come ready for that as well.

Those who trust in the Lord will gain new strength.
