Hey Friends and Family of TCC,
RE:NEW is our theme for our new series. It’s based upon a portion of Isaiah 40:31 that says, “Those who trust in the Lord will gain new strength.” The key to the verse is the idea of trust, and trust is like a muscle. If it’s going to be strong, it has to be exercised. That’s why reading the Bible and prayer are so essential to the life of every follower of Jesus. I’m hoping you’re joining us in this spiritual quest this year because I believe God wants to transform us – every single one of us!
The beauty of spiritual change is that it happens one day at a time. We can’t hurry it, but we can surely hinder it. That’s why spiritual disciplines like Bible study and prayer, when done daily, help contribute to our growth. Abraham Lincoln said, “The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.” As we look forward to the future, I hope you will choose to be engaged with God each day in some form of Bible focus or meditation and prayer.
I’m so thrilled from your response on Sunday to our TCC Prayer for 2014. Each day we’re praying one prayer and meditating on one verse. Imagine what we will be like after a year of faithful connection with our Father in Heaven. If you missed Sunday, please watch the service online and begin praying alongside the rest of your TCC family.
If you haven’t liked us on Facebook yet, please do that. For the next few weeks, we’re going to post the prayer and verse of the day there, as a reminder to pray.
Remember, our God is able to do far more abundantly than all we can ask or imagine.
Walking with Gid and you in 2014,
