This Week @ Twin Cities Church - Father's Day & Food Drive!

Hey Everyone,

Father’s Day is Sunday! Dads, I hope you are already planning to make church your top stop on the day designed to honor you. The really cool thing is that Sunday’s message for dads was designed by you. As we started our Encouragement for Today’s Family series, I surveyed all the dads who were present that day to respond to “As A Dad, Here’s What I Need Most.” I read through those answers and will do my best to speak to the top four or five on Sunday. I would like to cover them all, but I don’t want to miss out on my Father’s Day steak later that day.

The number one thing the dads of TCC said they need most is appreciation. As a dad, I can understand this so well. So, will you make it your goal this Father’s Day to show appreciation to your dad in a way he can feel your love and gratitude? It will build him up and fill you up at the same time as you tap into the deepest needs of your heart – to know you belong.

I am praying for Sunday because I want all dads to know how valued they are. I can’t wait to see you. I think you’ll be encouraged.

I am also sensitive to those for whom Father’s Day is hard. Your dad may no longer be living; your dad may be ill; your dad may have been absent or distant or just plain mean; your kids may be disappointing you; or, worse yet, you may have lost a son or daughter. Your church cares, and we want you to know that we’ll be praying for you that this will be a Father’s Day to remember. We’re here for one another.

Looking forward to celebrating all the dads Sunday!
