Hey Everyone,
We’re beginning a new series on Sunday. It’s going to be all about building hope into our families. The series is called “Encouragement for Today’s Family.” The series will begin with Mother’s Day and end on Father’s Day. In between those days we’ll focus on adding energy and hope to our regular family life. I can’t tell you how many people who talk to me want to discuss issues of family life. We’re going to cover some of the more basic family issues in this series. Whether you’re just thinking about family or if you’ve just begun or maybe you’re well along in the parenting or empty nester years, I believe you’ll find this series to be inspirational as well as informative.
Our “Encouragement for Today’s Family” series is a great time to invite your friends. We all know someone who struggles at home, and so it’s easy to invite them to come get some practical and relevant help for their circumstances. I will be praying for you this week that God will open up the doors for you to talk to others about the hope you have in Him.
June 2 is our annual summer picnic. I hope you’ll begin making plans now to attend. Our theme is BBQ Bash and Baptisms. You can check it out and even purchase a meal online, or you can sign up on Sunday. This is a great time to hang with our family. If you’ve never been baptized after you said “Yes” to Jesus Christ, I want to encourage you to take that step now. You can sign up on Sunday. Just be aware that that this is our only outdoor baptism of the year.
