Most of us are wrapping up the 40 Days In The Word spiritual emphasis this week. Please take time to go online and let me know how this has impacted your life. I want to be able to share some of your stories this Sunday as we celebrate and talk about what God has done for us in this season. Personally, I’ve had God’s Word opened up to me in brand new ways. I’ve received challenge, encouragement, comfort and inspiration through the daily readings, DVD curriculum, online devotionals and messages.
These forty days have helped me Encounter God, Experience Community and Extend Compassion as we’ve concentrated all of our efforts together. I love how the power of alignment creates new energy and excitement. God has blessed us in amazing ways!
Now that many of us have experienced daily Bible reading, let’s keep it up. On Sunday we’ll hand out a 30 Day plan that will allow us to end our year reading the Bible and focusing all our attention on Jesus. I can’t wait to begin. You can also get the reading plan online. We designed it so that you could keep right on reading even as the 40 Days plan ends. Another way to maintain the habits you’ve formed would be to pick up a Life Journal from our Next Step Bookstore. These journals are a key piece to my personal walk with God.
Sunday is the official start of our Year-End giving season. Most of us received a letter in November outlining the possible uses for this annual giving opportunity. I can’t wait to see how God works in our Twin Cities’ family as He leads us to give to Him.
