Hey Everyone, as we move into our last week of “The Arena: Inspiring a Generation of Champions,” I want to just tell you how much I have learned this summer. I’ve learned about how God is so personal. I’ve learned that He wants to use anyone who, by faith, will say yes to Him. I’ve learned that God’s greatest desire is that we would walk with Him in obedience.
Obedience is a word that many of us cringe at when it’s used in conjunction with God because we’ve often times had the “obedience card” pulled by someone to get us to conform. Folks, with God, it’s not about conformity, it’s about liberty. Obedience is freedom. Whenever we walk with God in obedience and learn to live life His way, there is no freer place to be. I hope that you have sensed this truth to be evident in your life this summer in this series through Hebrews 11.
In order to obey God, I have to clearly know what He wants me to do and be. Well, His Word is our guide and instruction manual for life with Him. It’s not just about life; it’s about life with Him. I don’t know if any of us can really grasp how sweet a life fully surrendered to Him in all areas can be. I sure long to know and I pray you do as well.
As we wrap up our series, we’ll look at several characters listed in Hebrews 11:32 and how God used their willingness to trust Him in spite of their obvious weaknesses and flaws. I sure can relate to that pattern.
While you are here Sunday make sure to look over the insightful books I picked for our summer series.
Growing in faith with you,
Pastor Ron
