This Week @ Twin Cities Church - Growing Together

Hey Everyone,

School started this week – at least for many of us – and for young families, it’s time to make that transition back into the routines we’ve been freed from most of the summer. As you make those transitions, I want to encourage you to begin this fall with a new emphasis on our five G’s. Remember to plan time to GATHER together in our Sunday celebration services and in your smaller Community Group meetings. If you’re not in a Community Group, look for the information coming soon on 40 Days In The Word: Read For Life. This spiritual growth emphasis will be a great time to check out a group.

Fall is a good time to look at the steps you have been taking to intentionally GROW. The Bible says that we are to take the time to keep ourselves spiritually fit. The really cool thing is that our 40 Days spiritual emphasis will give us tools and resources that will help in our spiritual growth. The 40 Days adventure will also combine new challenges to GIVE of ourselves. We will serve our neighbors and community together. We will also get the opportunity to give to our Celebration Offering which will allow us to assist some of our ministry partners and help launch our new Pavilion project.

We’ll also get to GO and extend compassion in our neighborhoods and community as we show the love of Jesus through our actions. Some of us will actually go global by participating in our Mexico Mission or Uganda Mission trips. Cross-cultural mission trips have a way of opening us up to a new view of the world that can change a person for life.

All of this will help us GLORIFY God with our lives. That is our ultimate goal – to worship God with all that we are. I’m eager to see how He wants to use me to illuminate Himself to my world. Are you?

See you Sunday as we continue “The Arena” series as we cover Joshua and Rahab. You might want to read Joshua 1-6. Please be aware that we will receive our quarterly Benevolence offering this week, and it is our monthly food drive week!
