This Week at Twin Cities - October 14, 2010

Hey everybody, I had so much fun last Saturday eavesdropping (and eating a donut) during the Sister’s Closet Clothing Exchange provided by the Women’s Ministry Team. I wish you could have heard the buzz in the room as the women went through the racks of clothing and tables of belts, shoes and purses. 175 women and teenage girls came and took home bags and bags of almost new clothing to supplement their wardrobes. I love how God continues to give us vision for reaching out to our community and helping our own TCC family at the same time.

On Sunday, the response to the giving challenge was so overwhelmingly received. I was thrilled, but I was also sad that many of you missed it. I think you deserve to listen to it so click on this link, and it will take you directly to the “Giving with Generosity” talk. It’s been a long time since I’ve taught on biblical giving, and I can tell we needed it. So, please listen and take the six month giving challenge.

Friend Day and Fall Family Festival are on October 31. Our goal is to increase our Sunday morning attendance by 300 people as we invite our friends to check out what God is doing here. I’ll begin a new message series that day based on Amazing Grace – the song that has touched millions of people since it was written. I am so thrilled for this series on God’s Relentless Grace.

Hopefully, your friends will come back with you to FFF as our parking lot is transformed into a carnival atmosphere. We still need lots of people to sign up for game booths, clean up, and overall help in order to make the evening go great!

You can sign up to help on Sunday as we continue our “Wide Open” series by talking about Persisting In Prayer.

Holding Nothing Back,

Pastor Ron
