This Week at Twin Cities - June 10, 2010

Hey everybody, school’s out for summer! I know that song has been running through many homes this week. Summer can be fun, exciting and even more relaxed, but it can also be draining, dull and full of stress. Most parents get to maintain their normal work schedules while also trying to solve this two-word problem: “I’m bored.” We’ve already heard it at our house.

I want to suggest some ways you can help your kids fill their time with good fun while also providing opportunities for spiritual growth. First, Saddle Ridge Ranch begins June 14 for kids three years through completed fourth grade. This is our onsite day camp. Pastor Bobby and his team are preparing to help your kids grow closer to God and each other. Second, DIVE is the theme for our kid’s camp out at Lake Francis, July 6 - 9. Our Children’s Ministry Team is ready to take your kids deeper with God and each other and have a whole barrel of fun.

If you have Junior High or High School kids, Pastor Mark, Pastor Rick and the whole Student Ministry Team are gearing up for two great camps. Junior High will be going Extreme together, July 18 - 23, at Sugar Pine Camp near Sonora. We’re also hosting our own Senior High Camp right here at our church. Both camps will help your students grow closer to God and each other.

Parents, you can check out one of our Summer Small Groups for your spiritual development and great connection with others. Stop by our Small Groups table on Sunday for a listing of summer groups. I want to suggest that you make church attendance a priority this summer. We plan, program and provide the same quality that you experience the rest of the year. On July 4, we’ll begin a new series on authentic faith as we study the New Testament book of James.

Enjoying summer with you,

Pastor Ron
