This Week at Twin Cities - December 23, 2009

Hey Gang,

Be sure to attend one of our Christmas Eve services this week. It’s not too late to make plans. I am so excited about the theme and vibe of this year’s experience. It’s my prayer that this Christmas will have a fresh, new and deeper meaning for you. God came to earth as a baby. I pray each of us will reflect on that truth. Join us in church on Sunday also, because we’ll talk about the child born in a manger as we wrap up our “Carols of Christmas” series.

I have been reflecting on how our 40 Days of Love series impacted me. We were challenged to go on a love extravaganza and look for ways to show the love of Christ in our world. If you want to read a book that will challenge you to love even more boldly and freely, read “Crazy Love” by Francis Chan. He’s a pastor who is having a tremendous impact on our world.

This Sunday is the final week of our 2009 Year-End Gift. There are several ways for you to discover why this gift is so important to us – as a church and individually. You can go online and read why we do this each year.

Our giving is more vital right now than ever as we end a financially tough 2009. We’re about $100,000 short of reaching our budgeted expenses for the year. Would you pray and ask God how you can help? Our Year-End Gift is all about vision and priority for our future days. It’s my desire that we will all consider how we can limit consumption during the holidays so we can give more to invest in God’s eternal work through our church.

Celebrating the meaning of Christmas with you,

Pastor Ron
