Hey Friends and Family of TCC,
Our annual summer picnic is this Sunday at Pioneer Park in Nevada City. Brett Malech and Andi Lambert have pulled a creative group of people together to bring this event to life. We’ve rented the public swimming pool for swimming fun and a great way to escape the heat. We’ll have a band, barbecue, Ultimate Frisbee, face painting, kid’s games and end the evening with BAPTISMS.
You’ll want to bring your own food – either a picnic type meal or meat to barbecue – and your own drinks. We’ll provide hot coals that will be grill-ready at 4:30. We’ll also provide frozen ice cream cups for all who want to indulge, and they’re free. Our picnic is a super time to make new friends, connect with old friends and celebrate God’s grace as we watch some folks go public for Jesus through baptism. Come have a fun time with your church family!
As we move into the fall, we sense a clear direction to stay at the schedule we’ve been at all summer. Our current service schedule, 9:00 and 10:45, will now be our permanent schedule. We’re looking forward to creating more opportunities for people to connect and make Twin Cities feel smaller during this next season. For example, you can come 30 minutes before the service you plan to attend and enjoy coffee and friends. Our goal is to come together, enjoy community with friends, and experience the excitement of what God is doing in our church.
This Sunday we’re going to walk through Daniel 9:1-20 as we continue our Babylon series. I am thrilled at how God is using this series to help us know how to live in our current cultural reality. If you miss a week, please watch or listen online so you can keep up with your church family.
Looking forward to a fun day with you at Pioneer Park,
