This Week @ Twin Cities Church - 22 Years of Ministry!

Hey Friends and Family of TCC,

This week will be our 22nd Anniversary! Last Sunday I talked about how we’ve stayed consistent to the mission God gave the small group of families when we first started TCC. On March 1, 1992, 158 people showed up to check out this new church. That was the beginning of an adventure with God and His people that is still flourishing.

At my Community Group this week, we had a very meaningful time reflecting on our Values and Purpose from Sunday’s message. One person said, “When I first came to Twin Cities, I sat in Ron and Kim’s living room as they described how this church would be a place where it’s okay NOT to be okay. They talked about a place where grace and truth was experienced.”

Friends, there are many people in your world who feel the church has lost its touch with reality and is no longer relevant or meaningful for our world today. Let’s all remember and stand firmly on the truth that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Our world needs to see a church where the people are enthralled by Jesus and live like He lived. That’s one reason I’m so excited about this Friend Day and our new series, Famous Last Words.

I’m praying for two results from this series. First, is that our friends will see the love Jesus has for them and be so overwhelmed by that love that they fall into His arms with gratitude. Second is that each of us will have our view of Jesus jolted out of familiarity and into intimacy. I’m praying for the friends we’re inviting, and that we will all be open to the words spoken by the Son of God from the cross.

Speaking of the Son of God, I hope you’ll take time to see a movie this weekend. The Son of God movie opens at Sierra Cinemas on Friday. What a great way to be inspired for the experience we’re going to have with Jesus for the next eight weeks.

Looking for a deeper connection with Jesus,
