This Week @ Twin Cities Church - Encouraged By Your Generosity

Hey Friends and Family of TCC! I am so encouraged by the hearts of compassion you continue to show to those who don’t yet know Jesus or those who are going through difficult times. Your generosity and service make it possible for us to help hundreds of people during the holiday season. I talk to lots of people, many who don’t go to our church, who offer words of gratitude for the way Twin Cities serves the community. One man I talked to this week said, “I keep hearing good things about your church – so keep up the good work.”

One of the ways you showed your generous hearts was in your gifts to the Uganda Children’s home after the fire wiped out much of the boy’s dorm with all their belongings. You gave almost $19,000 which will allow them to rebuild and resupply the children’s needs. Pastor Robert sends his words of deep gratitude for your generous giving. Let’s keep them in our prayers.

Last Sunday every tag was taken off the tree in the lobby so all of the families with Christmas needs have been adopted. Way to go! Just to let you know, we will continue to receive requests from people who are going through tough times, and if you’d like to help, just stop by the Reach table on Sunday and leave your contact information. We’ll let you know how you can help.

We began our Year-End Giving emphasis last Sunday. Our Year-End Gift usually goes to help us better serve our community by improving our resources, engaging in new opportunities, and supporting our many Ministry Partners. This year, we believe the greatest way we can position our church to better serve our community in the future is through our Courtyard Project. Therefore, the majority of the Year-End Gift will be allocated to this project as we begin actual construction in March. Just to let you know, we still need approximately $300,000 in order to finish building. So please give as you feel God leading you.

On Sunday, we'll have the “talk” as we look to Proverbs for wisdom concerning sexuality. This will be a sensitive day so you might want to drop your younger kiddos off at our Children’s Ministry. Your kids will have a great time, and you won’t have to field any awkward questions.

Giving to help others with you,
