This Week @ Twin Cities Church - Our Dream

Hey Friends and Family of TCC,

It’s hard for me to imagine that Kimberly and I moved here 22 years ago this month. What a ride this has been! We’re so grateful for the founding families of our church who believed in an inexperienced pastor who had little more to offer than a dream that we all felt was from God.

The dream was to start a church that attracted people to Jesus – where we experienced His grace instead of more rules. It was to start a church for people who were burned out on religion – where people who found freedom in serving out of gratitude instead of obligation. It was to start a church that helped people grow in their devotion to Jesus Christ – to become followers who were passionate about being transformed by Jesus. It was to be a church where the broken could find healing and help – where it’s safe to admit our own brokenness and imperfections as we give grace freely to each other. It was to be a church that genuinely extended compassion as we considered the needs of others before our own.

We’ve been so blessed to have many hundreds and even thousands of people join us in this adventure, and I’m even more enthused and ready to engage in the next steps we believe God wants us to take together.

Thank you to all of you who love, serve, give, receive and support the mission we feel God has led us to embrace here in Western Nevada County. I love you deeply. It’s been an amazing and full 22 years. As we step forward together, our Mission Statement will be our guide – We are leading as many people as possible into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Let’s do that with grace, truth and surrendered passion!

Our prayer series has really rocked my spiritual connection with God, and I’ve heard the same from others. This Sunday, we’ll focus on how God changes hearts. I am eager to hear what God has to say.
