Hey Everyone,
I am so excited to celebrate Easter with you this weekend. Our Reality series has deepened my appreciation and faith in God’s plan to bring us into relationship with Him. In fact, I want to suggest that you watch last week’s service on the cross (even if you were here), and let God’s gift of supernatural grace soak into your heart. Let it ignite your excitement for the resurrection.
I believe that sometimes we get confused about Christianity as if it’s a philosophy of life. Folks, if we only believe in Christianity because of the teachings of Jesus, then our faith is no different than any other world religion. The critical component of what it means to follow Jesus is that we have placed our faith, hopes and dreams on the fact that Christ is risen! He was dead and came to life.
On Sunday, I am going to talk about that moment in time when Jesus was resurrected from the dead. Our team has planned an awesome service which will draw us all to a place of hope and challenge. If Jesus really did rise from the dead, then what’s keeping us from making a commitment to live full out with Him?
I’ve asked you to be praying for one person in your immediate world – that this would be the year they say “YES” to Jesus. Why don’t you pray again today and then invite them to one of our Easter services? Then pray your guts out that they will come. As Jesus said, “The fields are white unto the harvest.” Let’s be part of His great harvest.
Our Annual Easter Egg Extravaganza is Saturday morning at 9:00 at Scotten School. This is another great way to invite your friends and their kids or grandkids. Pastor Bobby tells me that his team will have 8,000 eggs filled with an Easter treat (candy). What a great way to build a bridge to our community!
Looking forward to celebrating the reality of Easter with you,
Pastor Ron
