This Week @ Twin Cities Church - Food Drive!

Hey Everyone,

We’re smack dab in the middle of our Christmas rush and the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus. As we move toward that day, we buy or make gifts for those we love; we spend time with people in moments of connection; we cook, eat and party heartily. That’s Christmas.

For some, though, Christmas is not about celebration, but rather it’s about loneliness, loss, pain, hunger, confusion, disappointment and depression. In fact, if you took a poll at work or the gym, I believe you would find that discouragement is a common feeling of many people around us. It’s a dark time. We face dark consequences of our choices or the choices of others. Some wonder if their situation will ever change.

That’s why I am so excited about our Christmas series, “Let There Be Light.” We’re spending our entire Christmas season focusing on the reason we can have hope – God sent His Son to be the light of the world. In essence, just like in the creation account, God said, “Let there be light.” And upon His command the darkness was split and Jesus came to Earth to bring the promise and hope of light.

Friends, there are hundreds of people around you who need this message. I was reading this week about a recent study that showed this: 90% of those surveyed said they would attend church at Christmas if a family member invited them. And a whopping 65% said they would attend if a friend, workmate or neighbor invited them.

Let’s help spread the real kind of meaningful Christmas cheer and invite as many people as possible to our Christmas Eve services. It’s all about the light! Make sure to notice that our Sunday morning services for December 23 will only meet at @ 9:00 and 11:00 am.

We’re in the middle of our Year-End giving season. Most of us received a letter in November outlining the possible uses for this annual giving opportunity. I can’t wait to see how God works in our Twin Cities’ family as He leads us to give to Him. Will you give as God guides?

Celebrating Christmas all month,

Pastor Ron

Reminder: Sunday 12/16 is a Food Drive week! Remember to bring some non-perishables to TCC!
