This Week at Twin Cities - February 11, 2010

Hey Everybody,

First, thank you to all who responded last Sunday by saying, “I am all in, Ron! You can count on me!” I am so thankful to be part of something that is so much bigger and dynamic than me. We get to participate with God in His redemptive plan. I encourage you to watch the service online even if you were in church on Sunday. I want us all to know why we do church with the intensity we do.

Each week I speak, I do it as if this is my last time. That creates a healthy tension in my preparation and delivery. I also speak as if this were the week God had made just for you to hear a message from Him designed just for you.

I believe that Sunday will be one of those weeks as we talk about how we handle the money He gave us. We all need this message. I came home from my trip in Uganda with a huge burden for how much of what God has given the Thompson’s goes to satisfy our longings and desires compared to how much of God’s resources we give back to Him and His church.

I pray you will come on Sunday ready to hear what God says about money because He is the One who said, “Your heart will be where your treasure is.” I want my heart and my treasure to be in alignment with His will, and so I’m really looking forward to Sunday.

Saturday is supposed to be a beautiful day. Why don’t you come by the church between 8 and 11 to help us spruce up our landscaping as we get ready for Friend Day on February 28? You’ll have fun and get some exercise, too.

Counting the minutes ’til Sunday,

Pastor Ron
