This Week at Twin Cities Church

Hey Gang, we began our new “Recalibrate” series on Sunday. As inspirational as “Hope Rising” was to help us place our confidence fully in God during tough times, “Recalibrate” is going to be practical. If “everything really is different now” as Tom Peters was quoted as saying, then we had better make sure to build on wisdom that has endured through the ages. If you were not here last Sunday, please watch the service online before this Sunday so you can be in tune with what happened.

This week we’re going to look at how to recalibrate our passion. Many people feel as if they’ve had the wind knocked out of them – economically, relationally and spiritually, and this day will help “revive” our souls.

Prayer is the greatest way we can keep our passion fires burning. In fact, prayer is the vital connection we are allowed to experience with God. He gave us prayer as a way of communicating with Him. Prayer changes us and our circumstances. We began our “Hope Rising” series and our 18th year as a church by coming before God as a church family for 24 hours. The spiritual fire in our church since then has been burning strong.

I’m not the only one who sees the correlation between what God is doing now and our 24 hour prayer encounter. I received this email from one of our single moms last week. She said, “Praise God!! I have been praying passionately that God would call at least 100 people during “Hope Rising.” I let out a cheer to see the final number of 113 lives given to Christ. I believe this has a direct connection to 24 Hours of Prayer.” I agree with her passionately!

I hope you’ll begin praying for even more of God’s Spirit to flow into our experience as a church family.

Praying with you,

Pastor Ron
